President Donald Trump will pardon former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio on federal contempt charges because “it was his duty to protect his people” from crime brought on by illegal immigration, Bill O’Reilly told Newsmax TV on Friday.
“Arpaio defied the government,” the former Fox News host told John Bachman in an interview. “He was rightly convicted because he overstepped his local mandate — but if I were Trump, I’d pardon him.”
