Amazon’s stock has climbed 28% since mid-March, when parts of the country first began shelter orders in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Its market cap hit an all-time high of $1.2 trillion on May 1. But the company has come under scrutiny by an unlikely group: its own employees. “I worked there for 15 years,” says former employee Maren Costa, “and my career ended in 60 seconds.” Can Jeff Bezos’ leadership survive the pandemic?
