WashPost: Ohio Man, 20, Arrested in Car Attack

A 20-year-old Ohio man was arrested and faces possible charges of second-degree murder in connection with driving a car that rammed a crowd in Charlottesville that killed one woman an injured 19 others, according to news reports.

The Washington Post reported that James Alex Fields Jr., who last lived in Maumee, near Toledo, owned the car used in the attack.

Fields was booked into the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail and faces possible charges of second-degree murder, malicious wounding, failure to stop for an accident involving a death, and hit and run.

He is being held without bail, the Post reports.

A 32-year-old woman was killed in the attack, Charlottesville police said. She was not immediately identified.
