Trump to Guam’s Governor: ‘Don’t Worry About a Thing’

President Donald Trump late Friday assured Guam’s governor that “we are with you a thousand percent” in light of North Korea’s plan to fire four ballistic missiles at the U.S. Pacific territory later this month.

“We’re going to do a great job,” Trump told Gov. Eddie Baza Calvo, in video of the president’s telephone call broadcast on “Anderson Cooper 360” on CNN. “You don’t worry about a thing.”

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly also was on the call with Trump, Cooper reported.

In response, Calvo said: “Mr. President, as the governor of Guam, representing the people of Guam, and as an American citizen, I have never felt more safe and so confidence with you at the helm.”

He alluded to the attacks Trump have experienced for his fiery rhetoric toward Pyongyang.

“So, with all of the criticism over there …, we need a president like you,” Calvo said.
