While discussing a statement attributed to President Trump, John Fredericks, Trump’s former presidential campaign co-chair in Virginia, tried to inform Trump-haters on the panel that the president’s comment had nothing to do with race, despite claims that Trump’s “s**thole” comment was a racist slam. This prompted never-Trumper Rick Wilson to threaten Fredericks with violence.
Later, host Don Lemon — who attacked Trump supporters as racist and apparently didn’t have a problem with the threat against Fredericks — removed him from the discussion.
