Perdue pushed in effort to oust Senate leader

U.S. Sen. David Perdue called the failed second effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act – colloquially known as Obamacare – a breakdown on the part of members of his own party. “Sen. Perdue said this is everything that is wrong in D.C. – it’s personal interests over the national interests,” said Lesley Fulop, Perdue’s press secretary, in a Wednesday meeting with The News, along with Perdue press assistant Jenni Sweat.
