Panthers sold for $2.4 billion, World Cup prep nearly complete

The Carolina Panthers have found their newest owner, 60 year-old hedge fund manager David Tepper who bought the team for a record $2.4 billion. The completion of the deal is subject to an NFL owner’s vote, slated for next week. In Russia, host cities are making final preparations for the World Cup, set to kick-off June.
