Several members of a panel that advises the president and the Department of Homeland Security on infrastructure issues tendered their resignations late Monday, The Hill reported.
The resignations from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council came one day before the panel was set to hold its quarterly business meeting. The meeting went on as planned Tuesday with the majority of members in attendance, the White House said in a statement to The Hill.
The report did not specify how many members quit. It can hold up to 30 members, who are appointed by the president from the private sector, academia, and state and local governments.
