The movie Full Metal Jacket is a classic Vietnam war film that shows the discipline and standards required of all would-be Marines.
In the real world, the Marine Corps has decided that to be in a combat role, a uniform set of standards applies all soldiers.
It doesn’t matter what “letter” you identify with…Male or Female, Hetero or LGBT. It doesn’t matter what color you are…white, black, red, yellow, or green you have to pass the tests to be a Marine.
They are living up to one of their mottos…Earned. Never Given.
