The Senate Intelligence Committee has voted 10-5 to recommend Gina Haspel as CIA Director. Haspel is likely to be confirmed by the senate within a week and will become the first woman to head the CIA. Haspel has faced criticism for running a black site in Thailand in 2002 where prisoners were tortured including waterboarding.
