When Google employees learned about their employer’s contract with the Department of Defense, many signed a petition against it. Others flat-out quit. So Google’s PR machine issued a statement saying they would not be renewing their government contract. But that turned out to be just more hot air, as they’ve now admitted their plans to continue working with military and intelligence agencies..and promising to do so in a responsible manner.
