Conservative Congressman Explains Healthcare Vote isn’t about President Trump

Conservative Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) was on CNN Friday evening ripping into the GOP House Leadership for attempting to force what he and other conservatives believe is a “bad” bill down their throats. He argued that leadership chose not to lead, but to dictate, without realizing that there was a large contingent of conservatives and moderates who felt that the bill was simply too similar to what was already in place with Obamacare. Massie refused to blame President Trump, saying that instead the fault lay with the GOP’s House leaders. He added that if this were just about the President, the bill would have passed. Instead, the real problem was that the bill was incredibly flawed.
